The LE-3Dlite with a lower cutoff frequency of 1 Hz is perfectly suited for all kinds of local (micro)seismic monitoring - no matter if you want to measure tectonic, volcanic or induced seismicity.
The first generation of this seismometer was developed more than 30 years ago. Many of the sensors manufactured thereafter are still in use. In the meantime, the seismometer has been continuously improved, and since 2014, it is available as LE-3Dlite MkIII. Until now, more than 3000 instruments of this type have been sold. Besides the standard version LE-3Dlite, it is available as a 1D vertical seismometer (LE-1D/Vlite MkIII) and as a borehole instrument (LE-3D/BH MkIII).
Essential features and characteristics:
-
compact and robust instrument
-
stainless steel casing
-
protection class IP67
-
very low power consumption (<6 mA / 2.5 mA (3D/1D) @12 V DC)
-
quick and easy installation (plug and measure)
-
uniform sensitivity and transfer function
-
available as three-component (LE-3Dlite) and vertical-component instrument (LE-1/VDlite)
-
also available as borehole version (LE-3D/BH(s) MkIII)
